2014929-30日,印度新德里

在国际麻风救济会(TLMI)成立140周年之际,TLMI将与印度麻风救济会一道联合其他国际抗麻风联盟(ILEP)成员于2014929-30日在印度新德里举办“治疗、包容及尊严”论坛探讨麻风病人及康复者所关注的核心议题。届时麻风康复者将会同领域专家和积极参与麻风服务的热心人士一起通过分享经验、知识和不同的思考,共同探讨麻风病人及康复者所面临的核心问题。希望通过本次交流,能够为国际麻风救济会以及所有希望为麻风康复者带来积极改变的伙伴和组织带来清晰的方向指引。

麻风康复者所提出的三个关键因素:“治疗、包容和尊严”将会是本次论坛的核心主题,并围绕如下几个方面进行讨论:

l        如何面对麻风病所带来的残疾后遗症,如何应对这些残疾所带来的一些了健康问题?

l        如何让对麻风康复者及其家庭带有歧视和偏见的社会做出积极的改变?

l        如何使麻风康复者能够像社区其他成员一样拥有同等的权利,享受有尊严的生活?

本次论坛不但能让麻风工作者受益,同时也会让为发展、人权、社会公正和包容、残疾、教会、医疗保健、被忽略的热带病(NTDs)及相关的研究领域的工作人员受益。

Healing, Inclusion, Dignity Inaugural Forum:

Delhi, 29th – 30th September 2014

Peoplepersonally affected by leprosy, together with experts and active practitionersare to engage with the vital concerns of those living withleprosy, through sharing of experience, knowledge and a range of perspectives,at a Forum co-hosted by ILEP Member, The Leprosy Mission International and TheLeprosy Mission Trust India. This exchange is expected to lead to a clearagenda for the future, not only for The Leprosy Mission, but also, it is hoped,for other partners and agencies who want to bring about positive change in thelives of some of the most marginalised people in the world.

Three key issues – healing, inclusion and dignity -identified by people affected by leprosy, are the poles around whichdiscussions will be based:

o    How to live with the physically disablingconsequences of leprosy and the ongoing health issues that result?

o    How to bring positive change tosocieties which exclude or stigmatise people affected by leprosy and theirfamilies?

o    How to enable people affected by leprosy toaccess their rights as members of the community and to live in dignity?

This Forum is of interest not only to those working inleprosy, but also development, human rights, social justice and inclusion,disability, the church, healthcare, Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs) orrelated research topics.
